The Humble "I"

Knowing, Doing, Becoming

Footprints on the Sands of Time

This is a collection of thoughts and meditations about Muslims and their engagement with modernity. It mixes reflections on politics, spirituality, marriage, social activism, science and philosophy; along with adding a few other musings about Muslims and the challenges of modernity in the mix. The title of the post is taken from a line in a poem written by the American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, called A Psalm of Life:

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
