I’m looking forward to you reading it, and offering your valuable feedback on it. May Allah bless your work and increase you in goodness.

  3. As-salamu alaykum wa-rahmatullahi wa-barakatuh, my dear Shaykh and brother Abu Aaliyah.

I was already anticipating this work after our lunch discussion, but seeing the table of contents has made me even more eager. The thoroughness you’ve applied is clear and unfortunately quite necessary. I truly hope those who have been affected by the Super-Salafism of recent decades take the time to read it and open their minds and hearts.

Wa alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. I pray the book does not disappoint your thirst or expectations. I, too, pray that the book is read by Salafi brothers and sisters, with an open mind and a view to qasd al-haqq or truth seeking. The book cites this du’a of Imam Ahmad in a few places – a du’a that we make for ourselves and others: ‘O Allah, whoever from this ummah is upon other than the truth, believing himself to be upon the truth, return him to the truth, that he may be from the People of the Truth.’

  4. Barakallahu feek Shaykh Abu Aaliyah. Looking forward to reading it whenever it is released! May Allah bless you and all your efforts for His sake.

Jazakallahu khayran, and may Allah increase you in goodness and well-being.

  5. Masha Allah, this work looks like a tour-de-force. I really look forward to reading it!

I hope its accessible for a knowledgeable general audience (someone who is a Muslim, has some knowledge but is certainly no scholar). There are so many of us who are confused about this.

I’m glad you found the content pages interesting. The book is not aimed solely at academics or Muslims scholars. In fact, its main target audience is the intelligent lay reader – especially those that might be confused about the issue of contemporary Salafism and its claim to be the sole representative of Sunni orthodoxy to the exclusion of everyone else. The book is thorough, with a lot of first hand citations. It is also a book that lays down clear foundations and principles with respect to foundational issues and legitimate scholarly differing. There is also a heavy lean towards discussing how to nurture a spiritual heart, in light of classical scholars. I have been teaching much of the book’s content for the past three decades, and thought it was about time to put it all into book form. May Allah bless you for your comment and engagement.

  6. As salaamu alaykum, when will this book be published and available for purchase?
