While the title may sound rather academic, the book is not aimed at those in academia, but to ordinary practitioners of the religion who wish to traverse the path of Intelligent Islam and its spiritual, social and political guidance for journeying to Allah in this extremely confusing and challenging age. For modernity is less about the new technologies that are radically reshaping how we humans live, and far more about the philosophies and life-views that the modern world is grounded in – ones that reshape the way we think, and erode the very idea of meaning; leaving more and more people drowning in a life of meaninglessness and existential despair.
