Salafism Reconsidered

Salafism Reconsidered is a forthcoming publication from the Jawziyyah Press & Turath Publishing, which we hope will be available for purchase between mid to late July, inshallah. The book explores the beliefs, practices and claims of contemporary Salafism across forty-two chapters, four appendices, and 372 pages, and asks if today’s Salafism actually represents the path of the salaf.

Looking forward to reading this book with its nuanced discussions and balanced criticism and insightful comments from someone who lived the experience and as they say in Arabic “the people of Makkah know its valleys well”.

A much needed and eagerly anticipated read! We are desperately in need of literature that helps to deconstruct contemporary movement from the dual perspectives of lived experience and academic nuance.

What an opportunity of learning for this who have and have not had personal involvement with the movement. May Allah accept this service of yours, and weigh it heavy on your scales. Ameen.

Amin! Thank you for your comment and words of encouragement. I ask that Allah make it of benefit to Islam and the Muslims, and that it goes some way in helping to reconcile hearts upon the principled basis of ijma’-theology.
